The Broadway production of The Producers opened at the St. James Theatre on April 19th 2001. The original musical comedy has had audiences laughing ever since. Based on the Mel Brook's classic movie of the same name which debuted in 1968 tells the story of a man set out o write the most horrible screenplay ever written "A Springtime For Hitler" the playwright most certainly lives up to it's name. In 2001 when the awaited show hit Broadway it ran away with Tony Awards, 11 of them to Best Musical was on top of the list making the show a huge success and tickets hard to come by. Broadway ticket brokers understand that the visitor is in need and are able to gain great profits by purchasing tickets in bulk and selling them to last minute consumers in need. Ticket brokers also will provide a discount on the tickets, so if you are forced to make a purchase from them, ask if any promotions are available. Try to take a gamble and contact them hours before a show, you are more likely to be able to bargain with them and get closer to a reasonable price. Purchasing last minute Broadway Producers Show tickets will be tough, however it is not impossible to get a great seat at an outstanding price especially if you have some flexibility.
