Designer Looks for Boys of All Ages
JohnnyGear

Boys' clothes are getting cooler and cooler all of the time. Mom’s and boys continue to complain that COOL boys clothes are non-existent. Well, times are a changin’. More and more designers are jumping into the market of serving the COOL BOY in a variety of looks. Now thanks to online shopping it’s easier than ever to find cool clothes for boys. We’ve even found boys ONLY boutiques. Now that’s a start!

So, how can you make your little boy look cool? First and foremost no animals or characters on clothes no matter what the shirt says. Second, tucking shirts in and wearing belts are ok for the holidays, but they sure aren't the cool hip look we are going for.

There are several looks that should be pulled together in 2006. If you are going for a look, go all the way. Add accessories, this is a must for attaining our designer look.

Surfer Dude: The Look: Laid back and casual. Shop for vintage inspired tees and pair them up with shorts or cargo pants. Accessorize with a SURF dogtag or anything hemp.

Sport Boy: The Look: Sports team T’s and Track pants. This look is always a win win with both mom and the boy. Layer a long sleeve waffle tee under a Sports shirt for an updated look. Accessorize with a baseball, football or basketball cuff bracelet and coordinating necklace (keep the length a choker).

Vintage Casual Boy: The Look: Comfy but Cool. Boys always love this look because it is comfy, casual and looks cool. This look is all about layering, and choosing pieces that have a pre-worn look and feel. Accessorize in a vintage bottle cap necklace or neck pieces made out of distressed leather like recycled pieces, jewelry shouldn’t look so put together.

Preppy: The Look: Put together. The Preppy Look is back. To keep this look updated layer with your Polo shirts and leave them untucked. Accessorize with stainless steel or silver accessories for a classic look.

Rocker Boy: The Look: Edgy and ultra-cool. Shop for tees with an edge (literally a non-finished edge), vintage rock bands or skulls are a must have and popping up all over the fashion scene pair them up with distressed jeans. Accessorize with a guitar pick necklace or ROCK dogtag.

Moto X: The Look: Hip and real boyish. Shop for tees with saying or graphic images, pair it with a cargo or skate denim jean or khaki pant. Accessorize with jewelry made out of real toys, like bike chains and spokes for a real tough look!
