OK, so maybe it’s not new, however, it is changing the way people look at Multi-Level Marketing or MLM. Traditionally MLM was the “avoided” home business regardless of the possibilities to be hugely successful. It took either getting in on the “ground floor” or talking to thousands of people just to get a few in your downline. Most people couldn’t or chose not to devote the time and/or effort to do it. They spoke to all of their friends and family until the friends and family got sick of hearing about it. The other scenario is that they signed up a few people and then the signups would not do anything and ultimately drop out, bringing the person back to square one. The successful people in MLM knew that they had to keep at it. Talk to more and more people and keep the enthusiasm for the business. When they got a few go-getters in their organization, then the magic started and their downline grew automatically, then people started to take notice (friends and family) and jumped on board to ride the wave of enthusiasm and success. There are many, many people who have succeeded and are succeeding with the traditional MLM model. Good for them! It works!

Personally, I really like the MLM model, new or old. One of the best ways to market a product or service is word of mouth. MLM. The product has to be worth it, however, a reference from someone is usually all it takes to get someone to buy anything. MLM is just one form of Network Marketing. Network marketing is structured in many different ways depending on the product and the thought process of the originators of the company. Quite a few laws govern the Network Marketing industry. It’s a good thing, too. These laws protect the unknowing consumer from less than ethical practices. Scores upon scores of people have succeeded in Network Marketing. In my opinion, it does, in fact, work.

Network Marketing and MLM is not for everyone, it can be, but it’s not. The true success comes from your enthusiasm and how many people you get in front of. That’s where the internet comes in. There are now a few MLM and other Network Marketing companies that are utilizing the overwhelming power of the internet. Some of these companies are now offering “splash pages”, back office programs and tools to work the business on the internet, completely. I have seen some that still take a phone call or two, although, the people that you are calling have already expressed and interest in a business that they can run from their home. There are a couple that can be run completely on the internet with no human contact. These programs have high quality products and/or services and the program is laid out so well that it speaks for itself. Advertising and getting people to land on your site is the challenge. There are countless ways to do just that. These programs also have complete training to map out EXACTLY what to do and how to do it. You just have to be able to follow instructions. With now over 300 million in the United States alone, not to mention the rest of the world that is reachable by the World Wide Web, there is a very good chance that you can enroll at least a few of them; I have. If you are reading this right now, chances are that you found it on the internet or in an email. Pretty simple, huh?

To tie it all together; if you are thinking about a home business, already have a home business or just want to see what’s out there, don’t be afraid of MLM. It can be one of the most lucrative things that you can find. It is like any other business, it takes effort and desire. There is no free ride; however, some rides are just a little more worth it and may not cost as much as you think! Here’s to all of the success you can handle!
