Before we can get into answering the question of weather Network Marketing or MLM is for you we need to define what Network Marketing is.

Network Marketing is a business model which utilizes a combination of direct marketing and franchising. Typically, independent business owners become associated with a parent company in a contractor-like relationship. They receive remuneration for shopping within their own business, for selling products and for expanding their network of people doing the same.

To put this is laymen’s terms when you buy a car from a car dealer in your town that deal is not an employee of the company that made the car. That dealer is an affiliate selling cars for the manufacturer. The dealership receives a commission for every car they sell. This is a win win situation because the car company can focus its efforts on building cars and the dealer will sell them. Now the dealer does not have to spend any money building, designing or even shipping the cars, all he has to do is sell them.

In fact network marketing as a way to create and start a home-based business is growing more and more popular everyday. There is good reason for this - It is easy and relatively low cost to start a home based business using the network marketing model.

There are many online millionaires who do nothing more than sell other people’s products.

Network marketers never create a product of their own. They never create a sales letter or even ship a product. All this is taken care of by the parent company. All they do is sell the product by promoting the unique link the parent company provides them. All sales are tracked through this link and commissions are paid out, usually at the end of the month.

The internet has made network marketing one of the most lucrative ways to make money in years. If you take a look at most companies website you will see a small link for affialtes to sign up. In today’s market a company can not compete without having affiliates selling for them.

Every type of product out there is available to be sold through network marketing. Some examples of products or services you can sell are using the network marketing model are:

-credit cards -vitamins -legal plans -identity theft protection -financial services -telecommunications -voice-over-internet phone services -lotions -internet service -cosmetics -vacations - and a hundred more

Now if you are looking for an opportunity to sell products online then the answer to our question is a resounding yes – network marketing is for you.

Finding a product is not the issue. Make sure to research any company you decide to join. Look into the products they sell and see if they are product you would purchase yourself. If the parent company has been around for several year, has a good standing within the industry and you approve of the products then that is the perfect company to start making your online fortune.

The biggest issue is finding the right company to become affiliated with.
